Details
It is a historical place that attracts many visitors. It has two main gates. And this building is in square shaped. There is a dome inside the fort. And there are many graves inside it. There are also small rooms which were rented to merchants. There is a Mosque inside the fort that has 3 domes. The tomb of Sultan sarang is inside the fort. And he had 16 sons who died fighting there and also buried here.
Background
It was built by Delhi Empire in fifteen century. Its named after the Arabic word Rabat. This fort was the scene of battle between Sher Shah Suri and Gakhar chief sultan. The army of Sher Shah Suri captured Sultan Sarang in this fort, hanged him and buried him here. So this is famous fort due to Sher Shah Suri.
