It is located in Multan. The tughlaq of this shrine is considered to be an ancient example of architecture. This shrine host an annual Urs festival. This is the main attraction for the tourist. The original main entrance is on the southern axis that featured a small hall. It is the earliest example of Tughluq architecture. The shrine has 3 entrance. The shrines arrangement is similar to that Suhrawadi tombs. The main entrance has been since moved to the east. So that the shrine can be harmonized with Mecca according to the interpretations of Islam. Multan had strong connections with Pesia and Afghanistan and now which are reflected in the construction of mausoleum like the use of bricks, wooden ceilings and glassy tiles etc. This shrine is different from other shrines. Shrine consists of three-tiered structure. The first tier is in the shape of octagon and differs from the nearby shrine of Bahauddin Zikriya and the rest tiers are square shaped. The first floor has diameter of 15 m and its walls are 4 feet thick. The eight corners minarets support the entire structure and the second octagonal is mounted on the first one, with small domes in each of the eight corners of the building. The third one rests above the second, and is formed by dome of 15 m in diameter. Height of entire structure is 35m. The entire mausoleum is almost made of red bricks and shisham woods. The top of shrine reflect the influence of Tughluq Military architecture on even non-military buildings. The exterior decorated with more floral shape tiles, dark blue and white tiles with regional styles tiles. The white dome is also decorated with blue tiles along the bottom. There is no structure element to support the space of interior of shrine which results the interior spacious. In 1970s, the Auqaf department completely renovated and restored the shrine.
This shrine host an annual Urs festival. It reminds the death of Hazrat shah Rukn-e- Alam. Shah Rukn-e-Alam is buried in it. It was built in pre- Mughal architecture style between 1320 and 1324 CE. And was constructed by Ghiyath-al-Tughluq. It was built when Ghiyath-al-Tughluq served as the Governor of Dipalpur. Before he became the emperor of Delhi Empire, Shah Runkn-e- Alam was initially buried in the shrine of Bahauddin Zakariya.
